The Science Museum’s Mathematics: The Winton Gallery Scoops Lighting Award

Paragon’s project for the Science Museum, Mathematics: The Winton Gallery has been recognised at this year’s Lux Awards. Designed to celebrate and reward both creativity and sustainability, the award honours not just the people in the industry, but the customers who are doing great things with lighting.

Arup, in collaboration with Zahah Hadid Architects created a ‘breath-taking and unforgettable lighting display that takes visitors on a journey into mathematics’, which integrated fluid lighting with static lighting to showcase the mathematical significance of a full size 1929 Handley Page aircraft, which is a key feature of the gallery.

The project won the award for ‘Hospitality, Leisure and Faith Project of the Year’, from over 200 nominations.
